Terms of Service - Display Lab
These Terms govern access to Display Lab and its free and PRO features. By using the service, you agree to them. Last updated: August 8, 2026.
1. Service and acceptance
Display Lab provides browser-based visual quality-assurance tools for creators, including safe-zone previews, contrast calculations, color-vision simulations, aspect-ratio utilities, batch workflows, reports, and related educational content. You must use the service lawfully and have authority to upload or process any content you select. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Display Lab.
You may use the service as an individual or on behalf of an organization. If acting for an organization, you confirm that you can bind it to these Terms. You must be old enough to enter a binding agreement in your jurisdiction or use the service with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
2. Free tier
The free tier provides access to selected tools with usage or batch limits. Batch uploads may be limited to three images, and other checks may have daily limits displayed in the product. Limits can be adjusted to protect availability, prevent abuse, test features, or reflect operating costs. Free features are offered without a guarantee that a particular limit or capability will remain unchanged.
3. Founding PRO Access
Founding PRO Access is offered to new purchasers for a one-time payment of $4 and has no recurring subscription charge. It may include larger batches, exports, removal of product watermarks, priority support, and API access as those features are made available.
Minimum service period: Access is guaranteed for at least 364 consecutive days beginning August 8, 2026 at 11:00 Europe/Bucharest time (through August 7, 2027 at 11:00 Europe/Bucharest time), and may continue afterward for as long as Display Lab remains operational. This is not a perpetual service guarantee. This duration is a material part of the offer and is displayed before checkout. It applies to purchases made under this version of the Terms and does not retroactively reduce rights previously granted under an earlier offer.
Before payment, the purchaser must expressly acknowledge this duration and accept these Terms. A separate, unselected confirmation asks the purchaser to request immediate activation during the statutory withdrawal period and acknowledge the resulting effect on the right of withdrawal where applicable. The checkout record stores the confirmations, their time, the applicable Terms version, and the access dates. If the service continues after the guaranteed period, continued access is provided without creating a new promise of perpetual availability.
Payment is handled by Stripe. After a confirmed purchase, Display Lab creates an API key and local entitlement. You are responsible for protecting that key. Cross-device restoration may be available through the checkout email or API key. Sharing, selling, publishing, or automating distribution of a personal key is prohibited and may result in deactivation when necessary to protect the service.
4. Refund policy
Because digital PRO access is delivered immediately, purchases are generally final and non-refundable once access or an API key has been provided, subject always to mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded. Any separate consent required by applicable law for immediate performance or loss of a withdrawal right must be obtained before it is relied upon. Duplicate charges, failure to deliver access, or clear technical failures should be reported promptly to traian_an@yahoo.com with sufficient transaction details.
5. API usage and acceptable conduct
Any Display Lab API is provided for authorized, reasonable use associated with your own work. You may not bypass rate limits, probe credentials, disrupt infrastructure, scrape the service excessively, resell access without written permission, use automated requests to harm availability, or attempt to retrieve another user's data. API formats, limits, and availability may change. We may suspend a key involved in abuse, security incidents, chargebacks, or material violations.
You must not submit unlawful content, malware, personal data you lack permission to process, or material that infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights. You remain responsible for your images, reports, and decisions made using the results. Display Lab does not review every file and does not claim ownership of your original content.
6. Intellectual property
Display Lab's source presentation, branding, interface, original text, calculations, and product design are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership. Platform names and third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners. Reference to YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Stripe, or another service does not imply endorsement or affiliation.
7. Accuracy and service changes
Safe zones and interface overlays are practical approximations based on available platform layouts. Platforms can change controls, crops, devices, and recommendations without notice. Contrast and display calculations depend on the values entered and cannot replace comprehensive accessibility testing or professional review. You should verify critical deliverables against current platform documentation and real target devices.
We may modify, pause, or discontinue features for maintenance, security, legal, technical, or commercial reasons. We aim to preserve reasonable value for PRO purchasers but cannot guarantee uninterrupted uptime, permanent compatibility, storage of every report, or advance notice for urgent changes.
8. No warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, or error-free operation, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant increased views, advertising approval, platform acceptance, accessibility certification, client satisfaction, or commercial results.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Display Lab and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages arising from use, inability to use, lost reports, publishing decisions, third-party platform changes, or unauthorized key access. Aggregate liability for a paid claim will not exceed the amount you paid for Display Lab during the twelve months before the event, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
10. Termination and contact
You may stop using the service and clear local PRO data at any time. We may restrict access for abuse or material breach. Provisions concerning ownership, disclaimers, liability, and disputes survive termination where appropriate. These Terms may be updated as the service evolves; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance where legally permitted. Questions may be sent to traian_an@yahoo.com.
